Laura Persat is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer living in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Her work focuses on the visual communication of raw human emotion in portraiture and figurative representation. She is inherently perceptive to the depth and complexity of human nature, and she has created a genre of paintings that communicate intimately with her audience. She works in a variety of painting and drawing media, wherein she finds great expressive freedom. Her influences include Edgar Degas, Andy Warhol and Frida Kahlo.

Laura has been a regular participant in the art communities in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Philadelphia. In San Francisco, she exhibited in a wide range of venues, from quaint neighborhood bookstores and cafés to community events like the Independent Arts Exposition in Golden Gate Park. In San Diego, she exhibited frequently at the La Jolla Art Association and her work was featured monthly at the San Diego Art Department. Recently, she was represented by Twenty-Two Gallery in Philadelphia. She also exhibited a large body of work at Triumph Brewing Company in downtown Princeton.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from San Diego State University.
